What is a Protein Meter?

The Protein Meter is a daily protein requirement calculator managed by the Beri Protein Initiative, as part of our commitment to improving public nutrition. It is freely accessible and offers a user experience that is easy to understand and use for everyone.

The Protein Meter calculation uses the Harris-Bennedict formula and the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) in accordance with the 2019 Ministry of Health recommendations. It uses a food database that aligns with the menu and nutritional values of the 2019 Ministry of Health Food Composition (Food Composition) and household sizes. To fill out the Protein Meter, there are two sequential sections that must be completed.
